I was reading a magazine a few days ago, and came across a quote that made me laugh out loud. Here it is: “For young children, the distinction between what they’ve done, what they’ve imagined and what they might like to be happening is very fuzzy.” (Joanne Keilty, teacher) I have never heard something that so acurately described Rose.
Her thoughts are always in amongst princesses, ballerinas, animals (expecially horses). No matter what she is doing or saying, reality often takes sudden left turns into her vivid, and extremely detail oriented imagination. I often think she is talking about something real, only to figure out that she is telling me an elaborate story she has dreamt up. I love her creativity, I hope she keeps it forever. I especially treasure her capacity for unbounded joy.
It always makes me smile when she tells people (in complete seriousness) that she is going to be a princess ballerina veterinarian when she’s bigger. ~:o)
